- Hi, so I created a game that I spent quite a while making and, basically, I've lost it (it was saved to a USB which I lost and I never backed it up). I uploaded the.exe for it to Google Drive before, though, so I could share it with some friends to see what they thought of it. Now, I want to change things in the game but I only have the.exe left.
- This is the original fps6.gmk Game Maker First Person Shooter tutorial by Mark Overmars. This version of the.gmk will run in both Game Maker 7 and Game Maker 8. This.gmk can also be imported into Game Maker Studio 1.4, but it will require some modifications in order to work correctly.
GMK file is a Game Maker 7.x Data. Game Maker is a game development software application written by Mark Overmars in the Delphi programming language. Overmars released it in 2000.
Over 1 million collective downloads to date. This is the big one - Sonic.EXE Version 666 is the biggest update to the game since its release! Re-written from scratch on an entirely new engine with better graphics, audio quality, re-imagined sequences, system-wide stability fixes and more - this is the definitive Sonic.EXE experience!
There are many new things to discover in the game. While some may be apparent, others require a little digging. Word to the wise: EXPLORE. Return to previous areas of each stage after you've had a look around - who knows what might have popped up during your absence?
Alright, since no one else seems to have bothered doing this, I'm going to.
In short, I've recreated Sonic.EXE - given the creepy tale some life at last as a true .EXE file

This is not for the faint of heart. And if you're smart - play it in the dark. You know you want to. Or else, he'll come for you.~
The game took about 3 days to whip up, and is not a full representation of my programming ability - it was simply something I made for a laugh. I never expected it to come this far since the original release. Bear that in mind. As I've now moved onto using alternative technologies, I'll still keep this thread updated with any new itteration of the game that are released - but sadly, I've moved on from GE for the most part. Mainly due to compatibility with what I'm learning in Uni. But GE will always be important to me as my first real forray into the Indie Developer scene.
